Research and Planning - Masthead Practice

In this lesson we were given three different titles to some form of magazine, each with a different genre.
From just these names given, Popcorn, Pop-world and Dead Metal, we had to create a header, choosing certain fonts and colours depending on what type of effect the name gave you.
Below are my final results for each name!

Popcorn ~ When given the name 'Popcorn' I immediantly thought to some sort of cinema/film magazine, as popcorn and be easily asociated with that genre. I therefore went onto pick a bubbly font that reflects that type of genre, as well as picking the colour red as the colour is often used at the cinema's.

Popworld ~ With the word 'Popworld' I immediantly associate it with a modern pop music magazine. From this I created the title with a casual yet bold looking font. Futhermore I chose a light blue for the colour, as it would stand out against a darker background, becoming eye catching to the audience.

Dead Metal ~ From this chosen title I decided to stick with the colour black, reflecting the mood that comes from those words. I also chose a bold, heavy font that catches the viewers attention.
